From natural history to modern art, there’s a lot to explore in Greater Burlington’s museums and galleries. The Shelburne Museum is truly one of a kind, featuring the world’s largest collection of American folk art as well as a fully functioning antique carousel, impressionist masterpieces, and a full-sized steamship (yes, a steamship!)

Down on the waterfront, ECHO at Leahy Center makes learning about science and nature fun the whole family. While the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum preserves the cultural and natural heritage of the Lake Champlain region.

If it’s art you’re after, The Firehouse Gallery on Church Street features alternating exhibits you can take in when strolling the marketplace. The Art Hound gallery in Essex is the state’s largest with an eclectic mix of work by a broad range of Vermont artists.
