2024 Solar Eclipse and Burlington, VT is in the path of totality

THE GREAT NORTH AMERICAN TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE

April 8, 2024. Burlington went quiet for three minutes and fifteen seconds.

If you were here, you know. If you weren't, well. Some things are hard to describe without sounding like you're trying too hard.

We were in the path of totality. The light went strange. The temperature dropped. Stars came out in the middle of the afternoon. Then it was over, and everyone sort of looked at each other.

Burlington's been here since 1865. We've seen a few things. That one was different.
