Arts & Culture

If there’s one arena in which this small town can feel like a bigger city, it’s the arts. No two ways about it, Burlington has an appreciation for the arts that runs very deep indeed. The Flynn Theater is at the center of the entire state’s performing arts scene, bringing in musical, dance, and theatrical performances throughout the year. Burlington City Arts hosts exceptional visiting exhibits at the historic Firehouse Gallery on Church Street and several of the area’s music venues routinely pull in regional and national acts, but it’s the locals who keep music playing in our bars and clubs seven days a week. And if you’re a film buff, keep your eye out for the Vermont International Film Festivals slate of events across the year.
