Local Flavor

Spring in Vermont marks the start of sugaring season, with sugarbushes being readily tapped and the sap filling up buckets left & right. Sugarhouses across the state will produce around two million gallons of maple syrup this season. As there are many privately owned sugarhouses, there are also many open to the public where you can buy freshly made syrup. Vermont is also known for its local markets and farm-to-table restaurants.

In May, the farmers' markets kicks off! Farmers markets are an excellent way to learn more about the agricultural scene and try some of the freshest food the state offers,  with a wide range of locally grown produce, baked goods, artisanal cheeses, and other homemade goods.

Musical Events

Burlington always has a host of concerts and live events that come to town. Between venues such as Higher Ground, Radio Bean, and the Flynn Theater  it can be difficult to decide what to see on any given night.
