“The Farmhouse has really opened up the opportunity to use the whole campus.” says Director of Sales and Marketing, Keith McManis. “Groups that we prospected before, where we were right on the line of being too small for them, now have more options. It's definitely aided in the use of breakout spaces. It's also aided in providing a space for people to go to if they have a week-long or multiple-day program with us. They can go ahead and have their opening ceremony in the park and their closing dinner in the farmhouse.”
In addition to being a top wedding venue, The Farmhouse at Sunset Pond is also an exceptional choice for corporate events and meetings. The Essex boasts a total of 41,533 square feet of meeting space, with 23 meeting rooms to accommodate various group sizes. The largest meeting space spans 5,000 square feet, making it ideal for conferences and large gatherings. The resort can host up to 225 guests in a classroom setting and up to 350 guests for a banquet.
"Even before COVID, when we had both the Atrium and The Ponds at Bolton Valley, our wedding count was high—maybe 75 to 80 per year. This will bring that number back up, but also give us the additional potential of corporate and association events where we didn’t have it before. So, really maximizing the true potential of the full resort at the end of the day.” says McManis.
