The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off June 11, and greater Burlington is ready. Before we get to the marquee moments, here's the good news for every match day between now and the Final on July 19: you're covered no matter when you want to watch.

Rí Rá Irish Pub at 123 Church Street is showing all 104 matches live with sound -- every group stage game, every knockout round, right through the Final. Fletcher Free Library on College Street is hosting watch parties throughout the group stage on a 100" screen with snacks and drinks, free of charge -- download their match schedule at fletcherfree.org/soccer. Out in the South End, Switchback Brewing's Beer Garden and Smokehouse on Flynn Avenue is screening most games during their open hours (Wednesday through Sunday noon to 9pm, Tuesdays from 5pm) with cold beer and BBQ to go with it. And in Shelburne, the Slide In Pub is showing every game across 10 TVs, with a 30% food discount and drink specials whenever the USA plays. Between those four, there's a watch spot for every budget, every vibe, and every kickoff time.

Now for the can't-miss moments.

Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13 -- City Hall Park

The City of Burlington is setting up a 17' x 10' screen in City Hall Park for two consecutive nights of World Cup action. Friday the 12th brings the USA's opening group stage match against Paraguay -- the DJ starts at 7pm, kickoff is at 9pm, and there will be games, swag giveaways, and a satellite bar courtesy of Rí Rá. Saturday the 13th screens Haiti vs. Scotland. Both nights are free and open to everyone. It's exactly the kind of communal summer night that reminds you why Burlington is a great place to be.

 

Tuesday, June 16 -- The Windjammer, South Burlington

The Windjammer Restaurant and Upper Deck Pub on Williston Road hosts a World Cup watch party starting at 3pm, with Farrell Distributing -- the local Anheuser-Busch distributor -- on hand with product promotions and swag giveaways. A classic Greater Burlington spot doing the World Cup right.

 

Friday, June 19 -- Watch with the Lake Monsters at Centennial Field

Delta Dental Diamond at Centennial Field is hosting a free public watch party for USA vs. Australia. Gates open at 2:30pm, the match kicks off at 3pm, and every guest gets a complimentary beer or non-alcoholic beverage, a hot dog, and a bag of chips. There's a free raffle, and your ticket gets you into the Vermont Lake Monsters baseball game that follows. A World Cup watch party that turns into a summer ballgame -- that's a pretty Burlington way to spend a Friday afternoon.

Rí Rá is also running a free glass engraving event during USA vs. Australia that same day, from 3 to 5pm, if you'd rather catch the match on Church Street.

 

Thursday, June 25 -- The Windjammer, South Burlington

The Windjammer hosts a second Farrell Distributing watch party starting at 4pm, right in the thick of final-day group stage action when multiple matches run simultaneously and the knockout picture comes into focus. Good timing for a watch party.

 

All Tournament Long -- Vermont Green FC at Virtue Field

Burlington's own Vermont Green FC -- defending USL League 2 national champions -- are deep into their 2026 season, with home matches running right through the World Cup window. They play at Virtue Field on June 13, June 16, June 20, and June 26. If the World Cup has the soccer energy running high, a Vermont Green match is exactly where to take it. The talent is real, the setting is beautiful, and there's something fitting about watching your hometown club play while the world's best are doing the same thing a few time zones away.
