Maple Open House weekendAs spring begins to show its face, the sun and warm weather mean it's Vermont’s sugar season! Local sugar houses around the region begin to collect the sap from maple trees to be boiled down, and distilled into Vermont’s world famous maple syrup. Historically, the sugaring season lasts between 4 - 6 weeks. Beginning in mid-late February as the temperature starts to regularly rise above 32 degrees and ending when Spring has finally arrived and the trees start budding.

Vermont produces roughly 2 million gallons of maple syrup during these two short months. It is said that Vermont contributes roughly half of all the Maple Syrup produced in the United States. With that in mind, we are excited to share our favorites with the you and the rest of the world.

Maple Open House is a great opportunity to meet and connect with Vermont’s Maple Sugar Makers. The doors to sugar shacks from across the region will be open for observation, education, and most importantly, taste testing. Swing by one of these amazing Sugar Shacks on March 23-24th for a true Vermont Maple experience.
